Hey Mitch. I have mixed feelings about “the list = $$”. I do know of cases where they absolutely work… I see results from my clients. On the other hand I see lists being used as a tool to bombard people with sales messages… which gets you nowhere. I think it all comes back to what works best for *your* business in *your* niche.

Could be your guru doesn’t really understand your tribe. I learned a lesson recently that people are going to communicate with you in the medium *they* are most comfortable with.

Great article. I almost hate admitting that I'm the same way. I want to do things my way, and like what I want to like, and I do. Earlier this year I did have a guru tell me that I would never make any real money online if I didn't have a list; bah! Hey Danny, no big deal. There are still a lot of people bent out of shape over the masked man. They’re mad at me because they think I’m promoting exposure. I don’t like it myself, I just choose to ignore it.

The 15 minute show thing came up on the Cafe. A guy said they were a thing of the past…for the most part. I pointed out I book them a lot. A civil discussion. Someone called me out in a private email demanding client names so he could verify my claim. Pretty funny really!

Like I said Danny, ain’t no thang. I’m amused by it all.
