Hi Lisa

Yes I thought social media would rank higher, but I'm not too surprised. Maybe when people stop using SM to bombard everyone with sales messages and use it to build relationships instead, we'll start to see better results.

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate your comment.

Hi Tim,

Thank you for referencing the MENG/Anderson Analytics study in your post!

Interesting how MENG members ranked "Marketing ROI" as the number one trend to pay attention to and "Social Media ROI" as number fifteen, don't you think? :)

What I found pretty fascinating was that in the year that Social Media broke the Top 10, Mobile Marketing actually appeared one spot above it.

Thank you again for taking the time to review the study. Please let us know how we can be of help to you at MENG.

All the best,
@LisaPetrilli

Good idea Phil. Share client stories and even ask *them* to share their stories.

I really like the idea of connecting people too. I used to do a lot of strolling magic at corporate hospitality events. My job was not so much to entertain, but rather get people together, making introductions more comfortable for them. I never really thought about how this could apply to a more traditional biz. Great tip. Thanks!

Yes I would add
"Talk about your clients" and
"Connect people"

There is always someone who needs help finding someone or something and maybe your email list could be used to facilitate that in a small way.

Clients love being talked about positively, and it can be a nice include in an email.

Its a good list , thanks.
